MUSCAT : The official price of Oman crude oil for May delivery surged by $9.61 on Friday to settle at $144.36 per barrel, reflecting mounting volatility in global energy markets as the conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel continues to disrupt regional oil flows.

Data released by the Oman News Agency showed the sharp rise comes as markets react to escalating geopolitical tensions and fears of supply disruptions across the Middle East.
