MUSCAT – The operation was carried out in coordination with the country’s embassies in Tehran and Ankara, as well as relevant authorities in the Azerbaijan.
According to the ministry, the return took place through organised land and air transport arrangements designed to ensure the safety of citizens and the smooth flow of their movement during the journey home.
The ministry added that additional groups of citizens have also arrived safely from countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council via land border crossings.
Officials said efforts are continuing to facilitate the gradual return of citizens from abroad.
