MUSCAT – A fire broke out inside a furniture factory in the industrial area of Sohar, with no human casualties recorded, Oman’s Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority said on Monday.
In a statement posted on social media, the authority said firefighting and ambulance teams, along with other relevant units of the Royal Oman Police, responded to the incident.
The fire occurred at a factory located in the industrial zone of Sohar the authority said, adding that the blaze was being dealt with at the site.

“No human losses have been recorded,” the statement said.
Authorities said investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
Videos shared by the authority showed flames and thick smoke rising from the facility at night as emergency crews worked to contain the blaze. Further details were not immediately available.
