MUSCAT – The directive comes in response to ongoing security activity reported outside of Muscat.
The Embassy recommended that U.S. citizens find a secure location within their homes or another safe building, ensure access to food, water, medications, and other essentials, and remain alert for breaking news updates.
Americans in Oman were also advised to keep their phones charged, maintain communication with family and friends, and enrol in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive timely security updates.
