Muscat: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the developments risk further instability and undermine efforts to preserve regional peace and security.

Oman described the military action as contrary to the principles of international law and the long-standing norm of resolving disputes through peaceful dialogue rather than through hostile means and bloodshed.

The statement called on all parties involved to immediately suspend military operations and exercise maximum restraint to prevent further escalation.

Muscat also urged the United Nations Security Council to convene an urgent meeting aimed at imposing a ceasefire. The Sultanate called on the international community to take a clear and firm position in support of international law and diplomatic solutions.

While reaffirming the right of states to defend themselves in accordance with international law, Oman stressed that restraint, dialogue and adherence to diplomatic channels remain essential to safeguarding stability in the region.
