MUSCAT : The meeting reviewed existing cooperation between Oman and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations, particularly in the agricultural, fisheries, and food sectors, and explored ways to further develop the partnership in line with national priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals.
His Highness emphasised the FAO’s pivotal role in implementing programs that enhance global food security and address challenges affecting the sustainability of food supply chains, especially amid the rapidly changing global landscape.


Dr. Qu Dongyu expressed appreciation for Oman’s contribution to international food security efforts and underscored the FAO’s commitment to expanding cooperation and sharing expertise with the Sultanate to support sustainable development initiatives.
The discussions highlight Oman’s ongoing engagement with international organizations to strengthen food security, promote sustainable agriculture, and advance global development goals.
