GENEVA – The meeting between His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and His Excellency Seyyed Abbas Araqchi was held in Geneva within the framework of ongoing indirect talks between Iran and the United States scheduled for today. Discussions focused on the latest developments and the proposals the Iranian side intends to present in a bid to reach an agreement on Iran’s nuclear file.
The two ministers reviewed guiding principles agreed upon during the previous round of negotiations and examined ways to advance dialogue toward a mutually acceptable outcome.
His Excellency Al Busaidi reaffirmed Oman’s continued commitment to supporting and facilitating the negotiations, stressing the Sultanate’s role in narrowing differences and helping the parties reach sustainable solutions regarding Iran’s nuclear programme and its future trajectory.
He is expected to meet the American negotiating team to convey Tehran’s views and hear the perspectives and proposals put forward by the American side.
