MUSCAT – The Ministerial Decision No. 78/2026 to establish the Palestine Endowment Foundation aims to strengthen endowment work and support development and humanitarian efforts for the poor in Palestine.
The foundation, which has fulfilled all legal and procedural requirements, was allocated an initial capital of RO 1 million. It is designed as a sustainable endowment to implement programmes and initiatives that generate developmental and humanitarian impact, while enhancing the contributions of the endowment sector to social solidarity and development in Palestine.
The foundation’s objectives include managing and investing endowment funds, reviving traditional endowments through innovative development projects, coordinating endowment initiatives for greater impact, and receiving funds, donations, and bequests to be distributed to Palestine’s needy.

The decision also establishes the governance framework for the foundation, including a board of directors responsible for setting policies, approving plans and programs, monitoring implementation, and overseeing asset and investment management in accordance with principles of governance, transparency, and accountability.
Contributions to the Palestine Endowment Foundation can be made through its official bank accounts. Zakat and Sadaqah for Palestine can also be paid via Oman’s electronic Zakat portal at www.zakah.om.
The foundation is expected to expand the institutional presence of endowment work, support initiatives with social impact, consolidate values of giving and solidarity, and assist the poor and needy in Palestine, reinforcing the civilisational role of endowment in serving society and humanitarian causes.
