MUSCAT — In a powerful display of community spirit and social responsibility, Knowledge Oman, the leading community knowledge-sharing platform, and Techno Plastic, a premier industrial leader, successfully collaborated to distribute Ramadan essential food boxes to families in need through the joint initiative “Khayr Yubna” — meaning “goodness is built.” The initiative reflects the true spirit of Ramadan by fostering compassion, strengthening community bonds, and encouraging a culture of giving and volunteerism.

The distribution effort was coordinated in association with the Zakat Committees of Muttrah and Amerat, ensuring that support reached deserving households across several communities. Food boxes were delivered to beneficiaries in Seeb, Suwaiq, Amerat, and Musannah, helping families prepare for the holy month with dignity and reassurance. The name “Khayr Yubna” reflects the core philosophy that sustainable community well-being is built through collective acts of kindness and meaningful partnerships.

“At Knowledge Oman, we believe that ‘Khayr Yubna’ is more than a distribution drive; it is an investment in the spirit of our people,” said Tariq Al Barwani, Knowledge Oman Founder. “By engaging our volunteers in this mission, we are not only providing food but also nurturing empathy and active citizenship that will continue long after the Holy Month ends.”

“We believe that the private sector plays a vital role in supporting social stability,” said Omar Al Bahri, General Manager Commercial Affairs at Techno Plastic Industry. “Our partnership with Knowledge Oman underscores the importance of collaboration for doing good — when industry and community platforms come together, we can create a far greater and more lasting impact for those who need it most.”

By working closely with trusted local zakat committees, the initiative ensured that assistance was delivered efficiently and reached the right beneficiaries, highlighting the value of community networks in amplifying charitable efforts.

“Khayr Yubna” stands as a reminder that when organizations, volunteers, and community leaders unite with a shared purpose, small acts of kindness can collectively build stronger, more compassionate communities, especially during a time that calls for reflection, generosity, and unity.
