MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Tuesday received Iran’s top national security official in Muscat, where the two sides discussed regional developments and the latest status of negotiations between Iran and the United States.
During the meeting, His Majesty met Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, as part of ongoing diplomatic engagement aimed at easing tensions and promoting stability in the region.





The talks reviewed recent progress in Iranian-American discussions and ways to reach a balanced and fair agreement acceptable to both sides, the statement said. The two sides also underlined the importance of returning to dialogue and negotiations to bridge differences and resolve disputes through peaceful means.

Oman reaffirmed its longstanding support for dialogue as a pathway to security and stability, emphasising efforts to foster understanding and contribute to peace in the region and beyond, according to the statement.
