MUSCAT : Oman has recorded a 400% improvement in government performance in the field of digital transformation since the beginning of 2022, Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, said on Monday.
Speaking at the Together Forward forum, Al Maawali said the gains reflect sustained efforts to modernise government systems, expand digital services and enhance efficiency across public institutions through technology-driven reforms.
He said digital transformation has become a central pillar of improving service delivery, streamlining procedures and strengthening coordination between government entities, contributing to better outcomes for citizens and businesses.

Al Maawali added that the ministry continues to work with other government bodies to accelerate digital adoption, improve data integration and support innovation, in line with Oman’s broader economic and administrative reform agenda.
