MUSCAT – The final will bring together Oman Club and Al-Nahda Club on 14 February at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher.
The announcement was made during an expanded press conference held at the Al-Mabkhara landmark in Riyam Park, Wilayat of Muttrah. During the conference, His Excellency Sheikh Talal bin Saif Al Hosni, Wali of Qurayyat, affirmed that hosting this major sporting event reflects the approach of empowering governorates and investing in Muscat’s distinctive assets to deliver an exceptional edition that combines sporting excitement with tourism and economic promotion.
His Excellency highlighted a range of accompanying events, including the ‘Precious Cup Tour’, which will tour the six wilayats of Muscat Governorate to engage the local community and strengthen public connection with the historic tournament. He also announced the establishment of a ‘Fans Village’, featuring entertainment and cultural activities, alongside a dedicated section showcasing the history of the competition, its champions, and its development over the decades.
Hisham bin Juma Al Sinani, Chairman of the Main Committee for the Cup Final and Director General of Sports Care and Development at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, stated that the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex is fully prepared to receive fans and teams. He praised the close cooperation between the Ministry, the Office of the Governor of Muscat, and the Oman Football Association, noting that this partnership supports national identity and promotes sports tourism in line with Oman Vision 2040.


Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Yahmedi, Secretary General of the Oman Football Association, confirmed that the association has mobilised all its capabilities to ensure a technically high-level final. He pointed to the use of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology during the knockout stages to enhance refereeing fairness, as well as an increase in financial rewards for participating clubs to raise competitiveness.
Al Yahmedi also revealed a new marketing package that includes the launch of specialized digital platforms documenting the history of His Majesty the Sultan’s Cup, its winning clubs, and details of previous editions, in addition to activating the strategic partnership with Omantel, the official sponsor of the competition.
At the conclusion of the conference, the organizing committee called on Omani football fans to support their clubs and take part in the accompanying events, stressing that fan participation is central to the success of the most ‘Precious Cup’ final and to highlighting it as a major national celebration.
