MUSCAT – Citing Article 41 of the labour regulations, the Ministry stressed that employers must implement strict safety measures at worksites. These include ensuring that unnecessary materials and waste are not left in ways that obstruct workers’ movement on platforms, bridges, or other passageways. All materials must be properly arranged and stored, and any slippery substances must be promptly removed from floors and walking surfaces.
The Ministry further stressed that workers must not be required to lift, carry, or move heavy loads that could cause injury to any part of the body, underscoring the importance of preventing occupational injuries and safeguarding worker health.
