MUSCAT – The event also witnessed the graduation of officer cadets, limited service officer cadets and university officers, who all completed the respective training courses. The ceremony took place at the military parade grounds at Ghala Base and Sultan Qaboos Air Academy.
On the occasion, the graduating officers presented a military parade demonstrating high levels of discipline, efficiency, and professionalism, reflecting the attention and support extended to the Royal Air Force of Oman by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Supreme Commander.
The ceremony began with a military salute upon the arrival of the patron, followed by the playing of the Royal Anthem by the Royal Air Force of Oman Band. His Highness then inspected the front ranks of the graduating officers before the parade commenced, led by the flag of the Sultan Qaboos Air Academy.
During the ceremony, His Highness awarded the Sword of Honour to Lieutenant Juma Al Farouq bin Hamad Al Jabri, who secured first place overall in the Basic Officer Candidates Course. Lieutenant Juma Abdulrahman bin Nabhan Al Amri was also honoured for achieving first place in the Limited Service Officer Candidates Course and the University Graduates Course.



This was followed by protocols of the Sultan Qaboos Air Academy’s banner handover from the graduating batch to the batch currently undergoing training, whose members swore to keep the Academy’s banner fluttering high.
The ceremony also featured an aerial display by Royal Air Force of Oman fighter jets, showcasing the force’s advanced capabilities in training, equipment, and human resources. This was followed by musical performances by the Royal Air Force of Oman Band, highlighting its artistic and military proficiency.
The event was attended by Their Highnesses and Excellencies, senior commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and other military and security agencies, members of the State Council, retired commanders, military attachés from the embassies of brotherly and friendly countries in the Sultanate of Oman, as well as families of the graduating officers.
