MUSCAT – The ruling followed a complaint filed with the Consumer Protection Authority’s (CPA) department in Al Buraimi Governorate, where a consumer alleged that the company failed to complete agreed-upon construction and painting works despite prior agreement and full payment.
According to the CPA, efforts were initially made to resolve the matter amicably. A Judicial Enforcement Officer secured a binding undertaking from the company to complete the works within one week. However, the company failed to comply, and repeated follow-ups did not result in action, prompting the referral to judicial authorities.
The court determined that the company had failed to provide its services properly, in violation of Articles 20 and 23 of the Consumer Protection Law (Royal Decree No. 66/2014).
