MUSCAT : The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) held a preparatory meeting with representatives of the government entities included in the public opinion survey evaluating government services. This meeting was convened in preparation for launching a new cycle of the survey, with the participation of approximately 80 participants representing 54 government entities, along with a number of specialists from the Centre.

The meeting builds upon the results of previous cycles and the observations and challenges noted during them. It aims to clarify various aspects related to the survey, review its mechanisms and methodology, and discuss the organizational frameworks and designated points of contact with the participating entities. This process is designed to enhance readiness for addressing challenges faced in past survey cycles and to improve implementation efficiency and effectiveness.

The Public Opinion Survey on Government Services Evaluation is one of the statistical tools the Centre implements periodically to measure the level of beneficiary satisfaction with provided government services and to monitor their actual experiences in dealing with various government entities. This encompasses interactions both through in-person attendance and via electronic means and digital platforms, while taking into account the diversity of societal segments and their needs.

The survey covers several key pillars, including ease of access to the service, procedure quality, clarity of information, transaction completion speed, overall service efficiency, and the effectiveness of communication channels. Additionally, it evaluates the level of digital transformation in service delivery.
This contributes to providing accurate and reliable data that supports decision-makers and aids in the development of government services.
