MUSCAT — Oman said on Tuesday it is closely monitoring developments related to Yemen and reaffirmed its longstanding call for restraint, calm and dialogue to address the crisis in a way that safeguards regional security and stability.
In a statement, the Oman Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the Sultanate continues to advocate handling all issues through dialogue and mutual understanding, stressing the need to avoid escalation and the use of force.
The ministry said Oman supports international and regional efforts aimed at de-escalation, containment of tensions and addressing the root causes of the crisis, while emphasising the importance of respecting Yemen’s sovereignty, security and stability, as well as the will of its people.
