The announcements form part of a new policy adopted by the Council of Ministers to declare national and religious holidays in advance each year, aimed at improving planning and coordination across the public and private sectors.
The Ministry of Labour said the advance scheduling is intended to help institutions and businesses organise operations more efficiently, while compensation for employees required to work on public holidays will continue to be governed by existing labour regulations.
Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha will continue to be announced separately based on official moon sighting, authorities said.
