MUSCAT — Oman is expected to see unsettled weather conditions through Dec. 30, including scattered rainfall, active winds and possible dust, according to a forecast issued by the Civil Aviation Authority.
In a weather outlook covering Dec. 28–30, the authority said the Sultanate may be affected by an upper-level trough accompanied by a low-pressure system, increasing the likelihood of intermittent rainfall of varying intensity across several regions.
On Sunday evening, December 28, cloud development is expected over Musandam Governorate, with a chance of scattered rainfall that could be moderate at times, with accumulations estimated between 5 and 10 millimetres, the authority said.

For Monday, December 29, chances of rainfall are forecast to continue over Musandam, with the possibility of surface runoff and the flow of wadis. Cloud formation is also expected over northern governorates and along the Arabian Sea coastline, with isolated showers possible.
By Tuesday, December 30, cloud cover is expected to persist over northern governorates and coastal areas along the Arabian Sea, with continued chances of scattered rainfall. The authority also warned of active northwesterly winds, which may lead to dust and sand being raised in some areas, accompanied by a drop in temperatures.
