Muscat — Honourable Lujaina Mohsin Darwish, Honorary Chairperson of the Omani-Indian Friendship Association, said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the Sultanate represents a significant boost to the trajectory of economic relations between Oman and India, opening new opportunities for investment and strategic partnership.
Hon. Lujaina said the Omani business community views the visit as a promising opportunity to deepen bilateral cooperation and unlock new avenues for joint ventures across key growth sectors.
She said business leaders hope the visit will lead to simplified procedures, easier visa facilitation and enhanced logistical connectivity, measures that would support trade flows and increase the attractiveness of joint investment between the two countries.

Hon. Lujaina said the visit could pave the way for joint projects between Omani and Indian companies, expand market access for products from both countries and strengthen industrial and commercial cooperation.
“These outcomes would positively impact the business ecosystem and further reinforce Oman’s position as a regional hub for trade and investment,” she said.
