MUSCAT — Oman’s SalamAir said on Saturday said it is implementing mandatory safety measures after Airbus issued a global precautionary technical update for all A320 family aircraft, a move that has prompted airlines worldwide to temporarily adjust operations.
The manufacturer’s guidance shared with carriers operating A320-series jets requires enhanced technical checks. SalamAir said safety remains its “top priority” and that it is executing the necessary steps, with operations expected to return to normal by Nov. 30.
The airline warned that some flights may face disruptions during the adjustment period. Passengers on affected flights will be notified directly, SalamAir said.
