MUSCAT – The project forms part of the government’s efforts to promote comprehensive development and invest in the rich natural and coastal resources of Musandam Governorate.

Implemented by the Office of the Governor of Musandam with support from OQ Exploration and Production Company, the project is one of the region’s key strategic initiatives designed to strengthen tourism, entertainment, and service infrastructure, stimulate the local economy, and enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.

His Excellency Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ahmed Al Hum Al Mayasi, Wali of Dibba, said the 1,300-meter-long waterfront is envisioned as an integrated tourist destination for visitors to Dibba and Musandam, expected to attract beachgoers and boost economic, tourism, and social activity in the governorate.
The project features a range of recreational and public facilities, including a concrete wave barrier, a health walkway, children’s play areas, parking lots along the beach, landscaped green spaces, and an open-air circular theatre with a 200-person capacity. It also includes 150 lighting poles installed along the walkway for safety and aesthetics.

His Excellency noted that the Dibba waterfront represents a qualitative leap in Musandam’s tourism infrastructure, promoting a healthy lifestyle and supporting the governorate’s vision of becoming a leading integrated tourist destination that combines natural beauty with modern amenities.
He emphasised that the project adheres to the highest standards of environmental sustainability, ensuring the preservation of natural resources and ecological balance, with its design carefully aligned with the natural and aesthetic character of Dibba.
