Doha: The agreement aims to strengthen bilateral collaboration in the fields of museology and cultural heritage, with a focus on exchanging expertise, ideas, and initiatives that elevate standards of excellence and quality in museum operations.
Key areas of cooperation outlined in the MoU include joint training programmes covering events and marketing, exhibitions, visitor services, preservation and conservation, volunteer engagement, education, scientific research, and translation. The two institutions will also organize joint exhibitions, conferences, and seminars, along with reciprocal visits by experts and specialists.
The collaboration further extends to the exchange of information, research, and experiences in adopting modern technologies, developing educational media, and sharing exhibits to enrich museum experiences in both countries.

The MoU was signed by Engineer Al-Yaqdhan bin Abdullah Al-Harthi, General Manager of the Oman Across Ages Museum, and Mohammed Saad Al-Rumaihi, CEO of the Qatar Museums Authority.
Speaking on the occasion, Al-Harthi emphasized the importance of cultural cooperation between museums within and beyond Oman, underscoring the shared commitment to safeguarding national heritage and advancing professional competencies through knowledge exchange.
