MUSCAT — The Indian Social Club (ISC) Oman has issued an official clarification following widespread discussion on social media regarding the recent Indian Community Festival held at Al Amerat Park on October 24, 2025, particularly concerning certain models displayed at the event that were perceived by some as having religious connotations.
The festival, organized by the Kerala Wing of ISC, was inaugurated by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and witnessed the participation of thousands of visitors from Oman’s vibrant Indian community. The event featured a grand cultural parade and displays highlighting the diverse heritage of India’s states.
The club emphasized that the models and exhibits showcased were purely artistic and cultural in nature, intended to highlight traditional agricultural practices and rural life not to depict or symbolize any religious or ritual elements.
