MUSCAT – According to a report issued by the Statistical Centre of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC-Stat), the nominal GDP of GCC countries reached $588.1 billion, up 5.7 percent compared to the same period in 2024. Real GDP totalled $466.2 billion, marking an annual growth rate of 3 percent.
All GCC member states achieved positive growth during the quarter. The oil sector maintained the largest contribution to GDP at 22.9 percent, followed by the manufacturing sector at 12.7 percent, and wholesale and retail trade at 9.6 percent, while other activities accounted for 26.7 percent.
According to the report, this performance reflects the region’s ongoing efforts to diversify its economies and strengthen non-oil sectors, supporting long-term economic stability and sustainable growth across the Gulf.
