MUSCAT : The highly anticipated event featured a total of eight rounds, four dedicated to purebred Arabian horses, two to locally bred Arabian horses, and two to thoroughbreds.
In the opening round, the Wadi Bani Khalid Race (1200m) for purebred Arabian horses, Ibreez SP claimed victory for owner Saad bin Suhail Al Mukhaini, with jockey Abdulaziz bin Fahd Al Balushi and trainer Badr bin Mohammed Al Hajri. Najm Ibri and Barq Al Suwaih secured second and third places respectively.
The second round, the Wadi Shab Race for Thoroughbreds (1200m), saw Akarm of Al-Tufan Stud take the win, ridden by Al-Moatasem bin Saeed Al-Balushi and trained by Ahmed bin Khamis Al-Yazidi. Taharq and Big Boy Harley followed in close pursuit.

The third round, the Wadi Douka Race (1600m) for locally bred purebred Arabian horses, crowned S.S.R. Naseem Barkaa as champion, owned by Salem bin Saeed Al Rashidi and ridden by Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Siyabi. Lamea and B.F. Sahayeb came second and third.
In the fourth round, the Wadi Al Abyad Race (1600m), Al Baz triumphed for owner Murshid bin Saeed Al Balushi under jockey Moatasem bin Saeed Al Balushi. Muhtasham and SSR Al Barq finished behind.
The fifth round, the Wadi Haibi Race (1600m), saw the mare Jillian claim first place for owner Saleh bin Ali Al Ghanbousi, with Lola de Lagarde and Shamail KS in second and third positions.
In the sixth round, the Wadi Dayqah Race (1600m, locally bred), SH Al Baraq clinched the title for owner Sheikh Hamad bin Salem Al Balushi, while Bayan Muscat and Ezz Al Ashkhara finished second and third.
The seventh round, the Wadi Andam Race (1600m) for Thoroughbreds, brought victory to Royal Touch, owned by Sultan bin Ali Al Sunaidi, with Aswan and Bos Frous taking the next spots.
Finally, the eighth and concluding round, the Wadi Al-Jizzi Race (1800m), saw O Naward, owned, trained, and partly ridden by Marwan bin Darwish Al Balushi, gallop to victory. Arby Bestif and Nisal Al Sham completed the podium.
