MUSCAT – Interested applicants can register through the official website: http://bng.gov.om.
The registration is divided into two periods:

• First Period (for previous camp owners): October 22-23, 2025
• Second Period (for new applicants): October 23-26, 2025
During the first period, priority will be given exclusively to those who booked campsites in 2024 at the same location. The second period opens registration to all other applicants, with campsites assigned randomly based on the applicant’s region.
Applicants must complete payment within 20 minutes of booking; otherwise, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.

The municipality pointed out that submitting an application does not guarantee approval, as it reserves the right to cancel any license for any reason. Campsites will be licensed for use until April 30, 2026.
Key Requirements and Fees:
• A license fee of 200 baisas per square meter applies, along with a refundable security deposit of 200 Omani riyals.
• Fixed structures are not allowed on camping sites; the site must be used only for camping and cannot be relocated or repurposed.
• Campers must clear and restore the site to its original condition after the permit expires – failure to do so will result in a daily fine of RO 50 until compliance.
• A temporary underground sewage tank, made of fibre and meeting technical and health standards, must be installed and properly maintained throughout the permit period and removed afterward.
• Required signage must be obtained from the engineering consulting offices and other regional offices.
• Applicants must be Omani nationals.
For those interested in applying for sites designated for games, carts, and cafes, it is necessary to visit the municipality department in the relevant wilayat.
