LONDON : Oman’s fiscal reforms and policy measures have strengthened the country’s economic resilience and positioned it for sustainable growth, H.E. Nasser Al Jashmi, Chairman of the Tax Authority, said during the opening session of the Oman Investment Forum 2025 in London.

Al Jashmi outlined how comprehensive fiscal adjustments have moved Oman from balance to fiscal sustainability, yielding surpluses, reducing public debt, and improving sovereign credit ratings — achievements that helped the Sultanate regain investment-grade status.

He said non-oil sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, tourism, and renewable energy have been central to supporting Oman’s post-pandemic recovery and diversification drive, in line with Vision 2040.

Al Jashmi also emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation with the United Kingdom under the Comprehensive Agreement on Enduring Friendship and Bilateral Cooperation, describing the partnership as a catalyst for trade and investment growth.

Held under the theme “A Confident Future,” the Oman Investment Forum 2025 brought together senior policymakers, investors, and business leaders to discuss fiscal policy, diversification strategies, and the Sultanate’s long-term roadmap for economic transformation.
