MUSCAT : The newly launched smart airport plan forms part of Oman’s broader smart transformation strategy, aimed at creating more connected, efficient, and sustainable airports. By integrating cutting-edge technologies, Oman Airports seeks to redefine travel experiences and operational excellence while supporting the national economy and Vision 2040 goals.
The project is expected to enhance the experience of over 40,000 daily passengers, offering faster, more stable network connectivity across terminals, check-in counters, and lounges. Advanced smart monitoring systems and real-time data analytics will also boost safety and security across all airport facilities.
Commenting on the milestone, Ahmed Al Amri, CEO of Oman Airports, said, “This collaboration with Huawei is a pivotal milestone in Oman Airports’ digital transformation journey and reflects our commitment to adopting the latest technologies that enhance the passenger experience and boost operational efficiency.”
