KUWAIT : The meeting approved the Unified Gulf Strategic Plan for Scouts and Guides (2026–2030), marking a significant step toward coordinated development in the field of youth and community engagement. The General Secretariat has been tasked with submitting the strategic plan to Their Excellencies and Highnesses, the Ministers of Education in the GCC countries, for final approval by circulation. It will also coordinate the next in-person meeting at its headquarters in Riyadh.
It was announced that the fifth meeting of the Committee will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, further solidifying regional collaboration in the scouting and guiding movement.
On the sidelines of the event, an extraordinary conference of the Arab Union of Scouts and Guides Associations was held, where Dr. Yaqoub bin Khalfan Al Nadabi, Director General of the General Directorate of Scouts and Guides in Oman, led a session highlighting the role of scouting in charitable volunteer work. His presentation emphasized strengthening ties with civil society and driving strategic change within the Arab Scouting Movement towards the goals of Vision 2030.
