MUSCAT : The Qantab wadi rehabilitation and development project is part of the Municipality’s aims to develop public spaces, enhance quality of life, and promote urban sustainability. It seeks to promote healthy lifestyle by supporting sports and recreational activities.
Key Components of the Project:
• Installation of lined gravel along both sides of the wadi channel, extending 700 meters, to enhance protection and prevent erosion.
• Construction of a 700-meter-long and 4-meter-wide pedestrian walkway paved with interlocking tiles, creating a safe and attractive space for walking, jogging, and community engagement.
Muscat Municipality emphasised that protecting the valley course plays a crucial role in safeguarding nearby roads and public services from the effects of heavy rainfall and wadi flooding.
