MUSCAT : The advisory follows the weather alert issued by Oman Meteorology, which forecasts significant rainfall ranging between 60 to 200 mm over the governorates of North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, and Al Buraimi. These areas are expected to witness the flow of valleys and ravines (wadis), accompanied by strong downward winds that may scatter unsecured objects and reduce visibility.
In response, the ROP has called on all residents and motorists to strictly adhere to the following safety measures:
• Do not attempt to cross flowing valleys or flooded areas.
• Maintain a safe driving distance and avoid sudden stops.
• Reduce your speed to ensure better control of the vehicle in wet conditions.
• Use windshield wipers regularly to maintain clear visibility.
