MUSCAT – Voting began today and will continue until October 5, allowing the public to select the key themes that will shape the upcoming forum. This annual initiative aligns with the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarikid, and aims to foster open dialogue and strengthen community involvement in shaping the nation’s future strategies and directions.
This voting phase precedes the official registration for the forum and invites citizens and residents to choose one of three proposed main themes:
- Oman Vision 2040 – Reality of Achievement and Prospects for Progress: This section highlights the levels of progress made in achieving the goals of Oman Vision 2040 and anticipates its next phases, in light of the five-year anniversary of the vision’s launch.
- Investment aspirations in economic priority sectors: This theme reviews the government’s efforts to achieve economic diversification across three main sectors: manufacturing, tourism, and the digital economy, and their contribution to boosting GDP.
- Improving Government Services to Enhance Productivity and Competitiveness: This addresses government efforts to build an effective service system that contributes to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development, increasing productivity, and enhancing competitiveness within state institutions.
In addition to selecting a main theme, voters can also propose a topic they wish to see discussed during the forum.
It is worth noting that previous editions of the ‘Together We Advance’ Forum saw broad participation from all segments of society, with impactful discussions on issues of national importance.
