MERA issues clarification on Hajj transport arrangements for pilgrims from Oman

The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs (MERA) has issued a clarification addressing recent discussions regarding transportation options for pilgrims traveling from the Sultanate of Oman.

MUSCAT : The Ministry affirmed that it is closely monitoring public concerns and feedback, emphasising that the voices of citizens and residents are valued and given full consideration.

In line with its mission to serve the ‘Guests of God’, the Ministry stated that early coordination efforts have been undertaken with airlines, land transport companies, and relevant stakeholders to develop convenient and comfortable travel options tailored to various needs and capabilities.

The Ministry confirmed that both air and land travel arrangements will be made available, and details will be announced prior to the release of sorting results, allowing prospective pilgrims to make informed decisions regarding their preferred mode of transport.

“The Ministry reassures all pilgrims that it is proceeding diligently to provide everything they need to perform their rituals in an atmosphere of peace and ease, so that the Hajj journey remains a journey of faith and tranquillity, as every Muslim hopes for,” the clarification concluded.
