MUSCAT – This service allows businesses and individuals to calculate and determine customs taxes in advance, enhancing transparency and facilitating international trade.
The service provides detailed information regarding the applicable preferential fees once the country of origin is specified. It also informs users about the requirements for permits, prior approvals, and procedures related to the restriction or prevention of goods before importation.
Available permanently on the Directorate General of Customs’ website, this initiative eliminates the need for commercial entities to visit multiple government agencies involved in the single window system to obtain such information. This streamlines the customs clearance process, saving time and effort for all parties involved in the commercial exchange.
