MUSCAT – “In the first half of 2025, we implemented 11 CSR initiatives benefiting more than 4,713 beneficiaries, reflecting our strong institutional commitment to creating meaningful social impact and fostering long-term, value-driven partnerships,” Sohar Port and Freezone announced in a statement issued on its X platform.
It listed the following key CSR initiatives:
Students Supported: Over 2,000 students received essential school supplies to support their education.
Education Institutions Supported: 2 schools benefited from investments in science labs and learning environments.
Charity Entities Engaged: SOHAR partnered with 3 local charity teams to deliver sustainable impact.
Youth Empowered: 100 young individuals participated in training programs that enhanced their skills and civic engagement.

Estimated Direct Beneficiaries: More than 3471 individuals directly benefited from SOHAR’S CSR activities.
Educational Institutions Visits: 18 visits welcomed 796 students from various educational institutions, providing them with practical exposure to the port and freezone operations, enriching their learning experience.
Volunteer Initiatives: 2 initiatives have been featured on the Ayadi platform empowering community action.
Nursing Students Trained: 75 nursing students were trained using high-fidelity simulators to strengthen healthcare capacity.
Oman Charitable Organization: By dedicating 20 percent of our annual budget to social responsibility, we positively impacted over 45,500 beneficiaries.
