SALALAH : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, today went on a visit to the Royal Army of Oman’s Firaq Forces command.
During the visit, His Majesty inaugurated the Firaq Forces command building at the Ngour Sahalnoot Camp, Governorate of Dhofar.

Upon his arrival at the Ngour Sahalnoot Camp, His Majesty was welcomed by Maj. Gen Mattar bin Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman, and the Commander of the Firaq Forces. Senior officers of the Firaq Forces shook hands with His Majesty the Supreme Commander.

Then, His Majesty unveiled the commemorative plaque, marking the official inauguration of the new building of the Firaq Forces command. He listened to a briefing about the roles and national duties carried out by the Firaq Forces.

After the briefing, a commemorative photo was taken of His Majesty the Supreme Commander with the Firaq Forces officers. His Majesty went on tour of an exhibition, where he was shown military equipment and devices. Then, His Majesty listened to a brief account of various field training methods.




He also took note of field training exercises carried out by the Firaq Forces, with support from segments of other RAO units and the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO).


The event concluded with a “Haboot” performance, featuring anthems of loyalty and gratitude to His Majesty the Sultan. The troops performed a military salute to His Majesty the Supreme Commander. They chanted thrice “Long live His Majesty the Sultan, the Supreme Commander.” His Majesty then left the Ngour Sahalnoot Camp.
