National Committee affirms Oman’s Anti-Human Trafficiking law safeguards human dignity

The National Committee for Combating Human Trafficking (NCCHT) affirmed that the issuance of Royal Decree No. 78/2025 on the Anti-Human Trafficking Law reflects Oman’s deep-rooted social and religious values.

Muscat: His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs and Chairman of NCCHT, stressed that the law underscores the Sultanate’s unwavering commitment to protecting society from anything that may threaten its security and stability.

His Excellency said that safeguarding human rights remains a national and social responsibility.

He noted that the new legislation is fully aligned with international standards while staying true to the authenticity of Omani values. It provides a careful balance between prevention and deterrence, while enhancing support for victims to ensure a safe and stable environment for all residents and citizens.

His Excellency further emphasized that the law is not merely a collection of legal provisions but a powerful message that Oman will always remain “a cradle of dignity and security for its people and all those who live in it.”
