Oman requires veterinary pharmaceutical companies to submit registration plans ahead of September deadline

Veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturing and import companies operating in Oman are required to submit a timetable listing the veterinary preparations, companies and factories they intend to register.

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries Wealth and Water Resources issued the announcement, stating the requirement follows the introduction of the system for registering veterinary preparations, companies and factories under the Veterinary Preparations Law, issued by Royal Decree No. 34/2017, and its executive regulations issued under Ministerial Decision No. 60/2023.

The ministry said companies involved in the manufacture or import of veterinary preparations must submit the required timetable ahead of the registration process.

Registration applications will be accepted from September 1, 2026, according to the approved forms and procedures.

Companies seeking further information can contact the Veterinary Preparations Registration and Control Department at the ministry’s headquarters or through the designated telephone numbers and email address provided by the ministry.

The ministry said the new registration system is being implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Veterinary Preparations Law and its executive regulations.
