MUSCAT : “Innovation is advancing across the Middle East, with Bahrain (62nd), Jordan (65th) and Oman (69th) among this year’s fastest climbers, benefitting from better infrastructure, growing R&D and improving linkages between business and academia,” stated the GII report.

The Global Innovation Index is a leading international benchmark that ranks economies based on their innovation capabilities and performance. It uses around 80 indicators, divided into innovation inputs (such as infrastructure, human capital, and research) and innovation outputs (including knowledge creation, technology, and creative outputs), to provide a comprehensive assessment of innovation ecosystems around the world.
