MUSCAT: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued today’s weather forecast, warning residents to remain cautious as varying conditions are expected across different governorates on Friday, September 12, 2025.

Cloudy to partly cloudy skies are predicted over coastal areas of Dhofar Governorate with intermittent drizzle and chances of isolated rain. Other governorates will experience clear to partly cloudy skies, with the possibility of convective cloud development leading to isolated rains and occasional thunderstorms, particularly over the Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas.

The CAA has also forecast low clouds and fog patches late at night and early morning over the coastal areas of the Arabian Sea and Oman Sea. Additionally, chances of dust rising over deserts and open areas are expected.

Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution due to reduced visibility during fog formation and thunderstorms, dust induced visibility drops, and possible downdraft winds. Residents are also advised to stay alert to the risk of wadis overflowing in affected areas.
