MUSCAT : The project, signed by His Excellency Azzan bin Qassim Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, and Shabib bin Mohammed Al Maamari, General Manager of the National Travel Operator, will roll out in two phases.
The first phase will focus on preparing and curating digital content for tourism experiences. Licensed guides will be supported with professional descriptions, guidelines, and tools to create high-quality visual content optimized for search engines and global booking platforms.
The second phase will see the launch of the digital platform itself, featuring direct links to global distribution channels, a fully integrated reservation system, multilingual support in Arabic and English, and electronic payment services. A dedicated portal will also allow guides to manage their content and experiences independently.

In addition, the project includes a comprehensive digital marketing campaign spanning advertising, promotions on international booking platforms, and improved search engine visibility—designed to increase exposure and bookings for Omani tourism offerings.
“This project represents a qualitative step toward empowering national competencies in the tourism guidance sector and expanding the international reach of Omani tourism,” said His Excellency Al Busaidi. He noted that the platform will help guides connect with a wider audience of travelers while generating sustainable opportunities in line with Oman’s Vision 2040.
Shabib Al Maamari, General Manager of the National Travel Operator, added that the platform would distribute Omani tourism products and services across more than 170 countries through global partnerships. He expressed optimism that the system, expected to launch in the first quarter of next year, will “open new horizons for Omani guides and companies to showcase their experiences globally.”
