MUSCAT – According to data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), the sector also recorded a 17.4 percent rise in revenues, totalling RO 155.615 million by the end of July 2025, compared to RO 132.553 million in the corresponding period last year.
The occupancy rate in this category of hotels also recorded a significant increase by the end of July 2025, reaching 52.9 percent, compared to 46.7 percent during the same period in 2024.

Oceanian guests led the growth rate, with a 57.3 percent increase – reaching 27,050 guests, followed by African nationalities, with a 35.8 percent increase (8,792 guests).

Visitors from the Americas also increased by 24.3 percent to 43,413, while the number of European guests increased by 19.9 percent to 370,590.
The number of guests from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries increased by 7.8 percent, reaching 110,501 guests, while the number of Omani visitors increased by 5.2 percent, reaching 468,854 guests by the end of July 2025. Asian nationalities also witnessed a 3.5 percent increase, with the number of guests reaching 187,141 guests.
In contrast, statistics showed a 3.2 percent decrease in the number of residents of other Arab nationalities, reaching 56,450.
