MUSCAT – The new centre marks a significant step in localising advanced oil and gas industries and strengthening national supply chains, aligning with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 and the In-Country Value Program. Equipped with cutting-edge technologies including robotic arms and high-precision transportation systems, the facility aims to revolutionise perforation services across the region.
The Centre is expected to reduce reliance on imported materials, lower carbon emissions linked to external supply chains, and improve the operational flexibility of PDO. The project also reinforces Oman’s position as a regional hub for advanced industries within the oil and gas sector.

Hilal bin Salem Al Busaidi, General Manager of SLB in Oman and Pakistan, noted that the facility is designed to meet the highest international manufacturing standards and will be instrumental in advancing Oman’s industrial innovation ambitions. He pointed out that the centre combines SLB’s global expertise with the capabilities of Oman’s national workforce, enhancing the country’s industrial and economic status in the region.
