MUSCAT – The Federation highlighted its ongoing role in resolving disputes, providing legal consultations, and addressing the impact of economic conditions on the workforce.
According to the report, the GFOW handled eight cases of worker support related to individual and collective complaints, with three of these cases being successfully resolved and five under negotiations.
The Federation also responded to 51 legal inquiries and consultations from workers seeking clarity on their rights and obligations in the workplace. These inquiries covered a variety of key issues, including wages, leave entitlements, working hours, project transfers, demands for improved working conditions and contract termination.

A significant point in the report was the mention of 249 mass layoffs from three different companies. The GFOW actively engaged with these cases, a reflection of the economic pressures being faced by some sectors.
Furthermore, the report noted the alignment of five trade unions with legal requirements.
