Dar es Salaam – The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Tanzanian Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The delegation was led by the Honourable Dr. Salim bin Salim Al Junaibi, Member of the State Council, Board Member of OCCI and Chairman of the Chamber’s Al Wusta branch. He emphasised that the visit represents an important step toward enhancing trade and investment cooperation between Oman and Tanzania. He added that Tanzania represents a broad gateway to Africa, with its promising opportunities in various sectors.

He explained that the delegation seeks, through this visit, to translate historical and cultural ties into tangible economic projects that will contribute to diversifying sources of income and enhancing integration between the two friendly countries. He pointed out that the delegation’s field visits to Tanzanian companies are key to building trust and giving Omani entrepreneurs firsthand exposure to local business practices and investment opportunities, supporting Oman’s strategic outreach to African markets.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Hashil Twibo Abdullah, Permanent Secretary of Trade and Industry in Tanzania, welcomed the Omani trade delegation, highlighting the depth of economic and historical relations between the two countries. He stressed the importance of building investment partnerships that serve the interests of the two friendly countries.
As part of the visit, the Omani delegation toured one of Tanzania’s largest meat production companies, where they were briefed on production processes and facilities, including halal slaughtering practices that comply with international Islamic standards.
