MUSCAT — The sky over the Sultanate of Oman is witnessing a spectacular celestial event tonight as a rare total lunar eclipse unfolds.
The phenomenon began with the moon entering the partial eclipse phase, gradually dimming as it moved into the Earth’s shadow. At 9:31 p.m., the moon will fully enter the Earth’s umbra, marking the start of the total eclipse phase. This stage will last until 10:53 p.m., offering observers across the country a chance to witness the moon take on its striking reddish hue.
The peak of the eclipse is expected at 10:11 p.m., when the moon will be most deeply immersed in Earth’s shadow, creating the most dramatic view of the night.
