Muscat – The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) has revealed that the number of individual Omani investors in 2024 stood at 180,000, reflecting growing participation of citizens in the country’s investment landscape.
The increase highlights the expanding role of Omani nationals in capital markets and investment activities, in line with the Sultanate’s broader economic diversification goals under Oman Vision 2040.
According to NCSI, the steady rise in investors underscores both greater financial awareness among citizens and the attractiveness of available opportunities across various sectors. Analysts say the figure signals a positive outlook for domestic investment, helping to stimulate market activity and strengthen the private sector’s role in driving growth.
