MUSCAT : Omani authorities have arrested and handed over to the United Arab Emirates a suspect accused of carrying out a violent home invasion, officials confirmed.
The man was wanted in the UAE for breaking into a family’s residence, assaulting members of the household with a bladed weapon, and fleeing with stolen gold jewelry. He later crossed into Oman, where he was tracked down by the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation.
The arrest was made as part of ongoing cooperation between the Royal Oman Police’s National Central Bureau and the UAE Ministry of Interior. Officials said the case reflects the two countries’ close coordination in tackling cross-border crime and protecting community safety.
