MUSCAT : The Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) proudly hosted the Falling Walls Lab Oman 2025 competition, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MoHERI) in collaboration with Germany’s Falling Walls Foundation.
MoHERI described the Falling Walls Lab as a global platform for pioneering research and innovation that connects academics, entrepreneurs, and professionals while fostering cultural and scientific exchange.
The competition was open to individuals from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, including bachelor’s degree holders who graduated within the past 10 years, master’s graduates within 7 years, and PhD holders within 5 years.

During the event, participants presented their breakthrough ideas in just three minutes, highlighting research projects, social initiatives, and entrepreneurial ventures. A distinguished panel of judges from academia and industry evaluated the presentations on innovation, impact, structure, and delivery.
Dr. Moosa Alkindi, Dean of MCBS, emphasized:

Echoing this vision, Dr. Amjed Sid Ahmed, Director of the MCBS Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, stated:

By hosting this event, MCBS emphasises its mission to empower the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs in Oman. Winners of the Oman Lab will represent the Sultanate at the Falling Walls global finals in Berlin (November 5–9, 2025), joining innovators worldwide in showcasing ideas with global impact.
By hosting this prestigious competition, MCBS reaffirms its role as a hub for innovation, research, and global collaboration, fully aligned with the aspirations of Oman Vision 2040.
